SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES – THURSDAY JULY 14 2016 – 10am -12pm

Step back in time and take part in a variety of activities: Write on slate boards and with pen and ink – Help the curator find some missing artefacts by going on a treasure hunt – Bake Anzacs in the wood fired stove -Walk down the hill to our Historic Boatshed and help find all the rats that have invaded. Primary School Age – $20 per child at Freshwater Bay Museum.

FAMILY OPEN DAY – 29 SEPTEMBER 2016 – 10am to 12pm

Family friendly event at the museum in the school holidays. Take part in a variety of activities such as badge making and face painting or attend a school lesson with Mrs Herbert! Free family event at Freshwater Bay Museum.

Freshwater Bay Museum’s 40th Birthday

Thursday 1st October – 10am to 12pm

Join us to celebrate the Museum’s 40th birthday. School holiday activities include fairy face painting, treasure hunts, and arts and crafts. Guided tours of the Museum will be on offer and birthday cake will help make the celebration complete. All events and activities are free and no booking is required.

Freshwater Bay Museum’s Family Open Day

 Friday 17 April 2015 from 10am to 12pm

 commemorates the 100years since the landing at Gallipolit. There will be Baby Animals to pat and touch, Treasure Hunt activity, Poppy Making and Whizz Bang Postcards to be filled in. Families can also view our new World War 1 exhibition The Western Suburbs at War. All events and activities are free and no booking is required.

 

Step back in time at the Freshwater Bay Museum this school holidays and take part in a variety of activities:

  • The original 1862 School room will be open and children may try writing on a slate board.
  • Help the curator find some missing artefacts by going on a treasure hunt.
  • Dress up in some olden days costumes.
  • Walk down the hill to our Historic Boatshed and help find all the rats that have invaded!

We will be open all through the school holidays on Monday to Friday from 1-4pm.
