In its education programs and activities, the Claremont Museum is committed to providing a window to the past and in the process developing a student’s imagination and curiosity. Our programs are designed and delivered in the context of the Australian Curriculum History with the aims of developing
- an interest in and enjoyment of history
- a knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the past
- an understanding and use of historical concepts such as evidence, continuity and change, cause and effect
- a capacity to undertake historical inquiry, to explain and communicate.
The programs also link to cross curriculum priorities such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures and sustainability. They also address aspects of the English, Mathematics and Geography curricula.
The education program costs $12.00 per child. To book, please visit the How to Book page.
